Walnut forend with pewter cap, and straight grip buttstock ending with a brass patchbox and buttplate. One of the best sporting rifle I have ever seen with the barrel retaining 95% plus brown, the frame, lever, and hammer 60-70% original vivid case colors, the lock plate and primer gate 5-60% original heat blue. Even the trigger and lowertang retain most of the original fire blue. Excellent wood with only minor handling marks and 90% plus original varnish. Beautiful mellow brass. Near mint bore. This would be very difficult to improve on.
