.52 caliber, 30" barrel lacking the bayonet lug. Double triggers, full length forend secured by three bands. Walnut buttstock bear "JT" cartouche. "oal" inspected barrel. Serial range 56xxx. The barrel retains much blue, the frame mottled gray with crisp stamps. Very fine wood and excellent cartouche. Good bore. There appears to have been an old stress crack repair at the wrist on the right side at the uppertang.
